This consolidation helps users create a single view of risks and offer a unified perspective into how the organization manages them. GRC tools can also create efficiencies in risk management and compliance processes by tracking workflows and automating common activities. They can provide advanced visualization and reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards customized for particular audiences) and add an ability to conduct risk analyses that were previously impossible, either by synthesizing more risk data or providing analytical capabilities such as quantitative risk modeling. Finally, through APIs, a GRC tool can constitute an integration platform for core risk data, helping organizations integrate a suite of risk management solutions that serve assurance leaders and related roles."
